Props for Props! with Sara Reisenbichler

Sunday, November 19, 1:00-3:00pm

Cost: $35+tax

"Why should I use props?  Isn't that cheating?  I don't need them!"  This was my mindset on props for ten years...ten long, painful, twisted, hunched, misaligned years!  Props are not a crutch.  Props can aid us in finding healthier alignment so that we are actually reaping the intended benefits from a pose.  Props can make a pose you thought inaccessible all of a sudden accessible.  Props can take a pose deeper.  Props can give your body some muscle memory for proper alignment as you discover more awareness in the posture.  And, most importantly, props are FUN!!  We will focus mainly on straps and blocks with a sprinkling of fun at the wall as we play with as many poses as we can fit into two hours.  This is a great opportunity for students of ALL levels as well as teachers who are curious about fun ways to bring props into the class.

Parent's Day Out- Kids Yoga with Kristen

Saturday, December 9, 1:00-3:00pm

Cost: $10 per child

This exciting workshop, specially developed for school aged children, will allow children to explore poses, breathing exercises, visual imagery, and relaxation techniques. On top of all of that fun, we will play yoga games, do a craft that will help our environment, have a healthy snack! All little yogis are welcome, while their parents spend some well-deserved time for themselves. Special class before Christmas - you don't want to miss this one!
